Lendl leaves "shadows" - makes her own mark
Fourteen year old Daniela "Crash" Lendl of Bradenton, FL (2011) is coming out of the shadows of older siblings Marika and Isabelle. The two elder Lendl girls first appeared on the FCWT just down the road from the Feather Sound Country Club in March 2004. Marika, then 14 like Daniela is now, shot 75-77 and finished T3. Isabelle, only 12 at the time, finished in 7th place with rounds of 79-76. The staff immediately recognized the up and coming talent and have had the privilege to watch it ever since. In March of 2005, a then 11 year old Daniela played her first FCWT event and held her own finishing in the middle of the pack of girls in the 13-18 division. Now as a 14 year old Daniela has won twice this season at the 13-18 division, once on each coast (La Costa and now here at Feather Sound).

Michele Nash of Indianapolis, IN (2008) almost kept Daniela from her 2nd win of the season, but came up 2 strokes short. On Sunday, Michele fired the Low Round of even par and moved from tied for 4th and 6 strokes back to 2nd place, just 2 shots back.

Victoria Kiser of Orlando, FL (2010) finished tied for third with

Miss Meier started the final round in third place, but tied Karen Chung of Livingston, NJ (2013) for the Low Round Honors with a 75 and thus moved up to 2nd place. Heather Arison finished in 3rd place, just one stroke ahead of Miss Chung who finished 4th, her 9th Top 5 finish of the season. Shamira Marshall of Macedonia, OH (2008) finished in 5th at 158. |

Savich comes from 4th to win for the second weekend in a row
Senior Milena Savich of Carmel, IN, who just won the Yankee Trace Open last weekend, started in 4th place on Sunday after an opening round of 80, then fired the Low Round for this division on Sunday, a 73, and was tied with overnight leader

seventeen year old Jaclyn Shepherd of Delafield, WI (2009). Miss Shepherd carded her best round of the season on Saturday with a 74, that gave her the first round lead at the Whistling Straits Classic. Her 12 pars on Saturday led this division and allowed her a 2 stroke advantage over Nora Lucas of Glenview, IL (2008) entering Sunday's final round.
But it was Miss Savich, who came on strong on Sunday, birdied the last two holes of play (8 & 9) forcing a playoff. In the playoff Milena kept the momentum going by making a par on # 10 (the first playoff hole) for the victory. (The two had tied for the most pars on the weekend prior to the playoff - 23 apiece). Miss Shepherd took home 2nd place and

Miss Lucas, who led this division in birdies with 5, finished in 3rd.
Fourteen year old Sara Detlefsen of Eagan, MN (2012) carded the only eagle of the event in this division when she made a 2 on the par 4, 4th hole.
